Devoted father of Major Amanda (Michael Jr.) Rust, USAF of Anchorage, AK, Jessica Krol of Brooklyn, NY and Jonathan Krol. Son of the late William J. and Stella T. (nee Choczynska) Krol. Dear brother of Christine Story of Jacksonville, FL. Son - in - law of Florence and the late Thaddeus Kompinski. Brother - in - law of Christina (David) Zehler, Corinne (Richard) Anzalone and Deborah Kompinski. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.. The family will receive friends at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc. 911 Englewood Ave. Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 3-7 PM. Where funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church (Englewood Ave.) at 9:30 AM.
