Daughter of The late Adam and Veronica Mirkiewicz, owners of the Adam Mirkiewicz and Sons meat market, Sycamore st. on buffalo's east side. While living there she was active in many school and community activities.
Arlene inherited her family's business sense and was the owner and operator of Burgio's Deli on Buffalo's West Side during the 1960's where she made many friends in the local community.
Always wanting to give back Arlene was a Girl Scout leader at Our Lady Of Loretta church while living in Buffalo.
After moving her family to Tonawanda N.Y. she became a very active member of St. Andrews Parish where she served as a Eucharistic minister. Her strong Christian beliefs lead her down a path of giving. She was a dedicated member of Kairos Prison Ministry, Cursillo, Marriage Encounter and Our Ladies of Charity. She was also a strong supporter and volunteer at Friends of night people, Cana Grace and Harvest House.
