She attended the Sisters of Charity School of Nursing as part of the Nurse Cadet Program. She was the 1948 Nursing Class President and an outstanding student. There she developed a lifelong circle of dear friends. After graduating in 1948, she worked in NY City & Los Angeles before returning to Sisters as a Clinical Instructor & Labor & Delivery Nurse. She was praised by the many thousands she helped birth as an outstanding nurse with deep warmth and compassion. She retired from Nursing in 1993 after 45 years of dedicated service. In her retirement years, Rose and Sal were devoted gardeners and elegant ball room dancers. Rose loved her many adventures and travels with Sal, family and friends.
