Mo, Jack and family ~
So sorry to hear about John. He was "one-of-a-kind!"
Here's my FB tribute to him. Sadly missed.

I picture you cartwheeling🤸(a perfect one 😊) right through Heaven's open gates.
I learned lots of life lessons by watching, listening, and emulating your work ethics; yep, a great mentor. So many times since the demise of "the Fed," fond memories, brief moments in time, HaPpiNeSs fill my heart. You made more of an impression on me than you knew at the time, but now, my friend, you know.

We were so sorry to hear about John's passing. Being John's neighbor 35+ years, we got to see what a nice man he truly was. Ever helpful, generous, funny, friendly and kind are all words that describe him. In the summer months, it was common to see John outside washing cars and golf clubs or meticulously picking up debris from his always beautiful lawn or just relaxing on his front porch. In more recent years, John would always share a story about his grandchildren, who you could tell, he adored. I know Mark always enjoyed playing a couple rounds of golf each summer with John as John was kind enough to bring Mark as his guest. I hope Heaven has nice golf courses for John, it's just too bad they have him an early tee time. Again, we are so sorry...

My Deepest Sympathy to John's family. I met John on my daily dog walks in the neighborhood living down the street with my white Scotty a while back and shared our experiences as both of grandpa's, and owners of Scotties . Wish I would of met John sooner so he could of taught me golf and I would of got him into cycling.

My job at the Fed was so much fun because I got to spend everyday with John. He made all of us at our break table in the cafeteria laugh so hard we could hardly drink our coffee without spitting it out. So many happy memories with him from the good old days. Rest In Peace my dear friend. You will be sadly missed by all those of us lucky to have had you in our lives.
