Pope, Margaret E. (nee Figlear) - May 18, 2017 - of New Bern, NC - formerly of the Town of Tonawanda - Beloved wife of the late Frederick Pope. Devoted mother of Steven (late Kathy) Pope. Loving grandmother of Steven (Angela), Bethany, and Jonathan Pope and great grandmother of Dominic, Quinn and Declan Pope. Dear sister of Lillian (late Larry) Meacham and the late John (late Vera) Figlear. Aunt of 2 nephews. Margaret was a long time active member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and truly enjoyed meetings, travel, and friendships with her sorority sisters. She retired from Ashland Oil in 1984 where she had worked as the Office Manager in the Maintenance Department. After the passing of her husband Fred, she moved to New Bern, NC where she established many friendships and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Recently she had moved to Orange, VA to live with her son and be close to her grand and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Acacia Park Cemetery (4215 Tonawanda Creek Rd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120) Thursday at 2:00 PM.
